About the Artist
Gathering and collecting along the shoreline, the ritual of searching, never knowing what I may find is at the heart of my work. The journey of each found object, the textures of what the sea has left behind brings with it an energy that inspires my sculptures.
I combine found objects with materials such as cast glass, concrete, and metal, exploring different relationships between them. A twisted piece of metal might combine with a broken tool, a fragment of wire completing a shape made of glass or metal.
My process is intuitive and material driven, experimenting with configurations, photographing, and rearranging elements until the composition feels right. The result is sculptural work that is both brutalist and industrial, shaped by rusted fragments, discarded objects, and forgotten materials.
